How to Set Up and Use Shortcodes on Your Post
Make sure you're logged in to your Nuelink account and connected to your social media channels. If not, you can connect them following these steps, and with that, we will walk you through the process of setting up short codes and using them on your posts on Nuelink.

What Are Shortcodes?
Shortcodes are like shortcuts that help quickly replace specific text in a caption, saving time by automatically adding information. For instance, a {{contact}} shortcode can instantly show contact details without manual typing. Nuelink offers pre-made shortcodes or allows you to create your own. Static shortcodes display a fixed value of your choice, while dynamic ones can vary based on values you set.
System Nuelink Shortcodes
Nuelink provides you with a few ready-to-use short codes that you can directly implement in your captions, the data will be automatically updated by the Nuelink system.
{{day}}: It will be replaced with the current day of the post.
{{month}}: It will be replaced with the current month of the post.
{{year}}: It will be replaced with the current year of the post.
{{platform}}: It will be replaced with the platform on which the post is on.
{{brand}}: It will be replaced with your brand name based on your Nuelink brand name.
{{channel}}: It will be replaced with your social media account name on each platform.
Static Shortcodes
Now, let’s create a unique static shortcode.
- Go to the “Shortcodes” tab at the bottom-left menu, and click on “Create Shortcode” at the top-right corner:
- Select “Static Shortcode”:
- Insert a name for your shortcode, you can later add it using this format {{shortcode}}:
- Add a word or text to replace your short code with:
- Finish creation by clicking on “Create”:

Dynamic Shortcodes
Next, let’s create a dynamic shortcode.
- Go to the “Shortcodes” tab at the bottom-left menu, and click on “Create Shortcode” at the top-right corner:
- Select “Dynamic Shortcode”:
- Insert a name for your shortcode:
- Add a set of words or phrases to be randomly replaced with your short code, and press “Enter” after each one to separate:
- Confirm creation by clicking “Create”:

Add Shortcodes to Post Caption
You can easily add your shortcode to your post’s caption from the Nuelink Post Editor, just follow these simple steps:
- Click on the “Create Post” button to go to the Post Editor:
- Compose your post elements, then click on the “Shortcodes” button:
- Click “Add” next to the shortcode you would like to add to your post:
