How to Add Shortcodes to Your Post

Make sure you're logged in to your Nuelink account and connected to your social media channels. If not, you can connect them following these steps, and with that, we will walk you through the process of creating a general post on Nuelink.

What Are Shortcodes?

Shortcodes are abbreviated codes used in computing and web development, particularly social media management tools like Nuelink. They serve as placeholders that allow users to embed a shortcode into a post. This will allow you to automate the process of creating customizable captions and post descriptions for your social channels.

Now, let's get started!

There are two parts to this process. In this first part, we will show you how to create a shortcode.

1. Click on Shortcodes on the navigation bar.

2. Click on Create Shortcode.

There are two types of shortcodes you can create on Nuelink, Simple Text and Keywords.

We will start with Simple Text.

1. Select Simple Text .

2. Enter your Shortcode. This shortcode will be replaced with your value.

3. Add your Value. This value will appear in your post once shared to social media.

4. Lastly, click on Create.

Now, we move to Keywords. Unlike Simple Text, Keywords allow you to add multiple values that can be randomized allowing you to customize and auto-post multiple captions.

1. Select Keywords.

2. Enter your Shortcode. This shortcode will be replaced with your value or values.

3. Add your Value and click on enter. You can add multiple values or just one. This value will appear in your post once shared to social media.

4. Lastly, click on Create.

We also already have a few shortcode templates you can use.

Once you created a shortcode, you can now go ahead and add the shortcode to your posts. There are two ways to add your shortcode.

1. You can simply copy the shortcode and add it to you comment or post description by either selecting the shortcode and clicking on copy, or clicking on the copy button next to your shortcode. Then, paste the shortcode where needed.

2. You can also access shortcodes in Posts.

Click on the Shortcode Button.

Then, click on Add.
