X (Twitter) Posting Credits & Limits: How They Work
Due to X API costs, posting to X uses X post credits. A post uses 1 credit, and a post with a link uses 10, because X charges for every post that contains a link.
These limits apply to X only. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads and all your other channels work exactly as before. No credits, no new limits.
How it works
- Your account gets post credits every day, shared by all your X channels.
- A post to X costs 1 credit. A post to X with a link costs 10 credits.
- Credits refill every day at 00:00 UTC. Unused credits do not carry over.

Agency Plus has the same limits as Agency.
Posts without links have no monthly cap. They are limited only by your daily credits.
You can mix posts in the same day. On Business, 3 posts with links (30 credits) and 30 posts without links (30 credits) use your 60 credits for the day.
Posts with links
A post with a link costs 10 credits, and posts with links also have a monthly cap (the link cap in the table). The cap resets on your plan's renewal date. When you reach it, you can still post to X without a link.
Posting to more than one X channel
All your X channels share one budget. 3 posts on one X channel and 2 on another use 5 credits. One post sent to 3 X channels at once uses 3 credits, or 30 if it has a link.
Threads
Each tweet in a thread counts on its own. A 5-tweet thread with one link costs 14 credits: 10 for the tweet with the link, and 1 for each of the other four. On Standard, a thread with a link needs more credits than one day gives.
If you run out
If a scheduled post needs more credits than you have left that day, it is skipped. It is not sent later. We email you when a post is skipped, so you can reschedule it.
To avoid this, check your queue for days with many posts to X, and move some to another day.
See your credits
Go to Settings → Billing. You can see your credits for today, when they refill, and how many posts with links you have left this month.
Questions
Does this affect my other channels? No. Credits and limits apply only to posts on X. All your other channels work exactly as before.
Do unused credits carry over to the next day? No. Your credits refill to your daily amount every day at 00:00 UTC.
Do I pay credits for a post that fails? No. Credits are used only when a post is published.
Are X post credits the same as NueAI credits? No. They are separate. Using one never uses the other.
