How to Set Up WooCommerce Automation to Auto-Post Your Products to Social Media

This guide shows you how to connect your WooCommerce store to Nuelink. Once it's set up, Nuelink adds your products to a collection and shares them on your social channels for you. Your existing products and every new product you add later are included.

Video Tutorial

WooCommerce Feed Limit

By default, WordPress only shows a small number of items in your store's feed. Nuelink reads this feed to find your products. If the number is low, only some of your products will be imported. Do this step first so nothing gets left out.

Log in to your WordPress dashboard. Go to Settings and click Reading. Find Syndication feeds, show the most recent, and raise the number. For example, set it to 100. Pick a number at least as big as the number of products you want to share. Scroll down and click Save Changes.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Automations in the left sidebar and click Create Automation.

2. Open the eCommerce tab, or search for "WooCommerce". Click Create Automation on the WooCommerce card.

3. In the Add WooCommerce Automation window, paste your store link (for example, https://yourstore.com).

4. Set up your caption. You have two options:
   • Write a caption template. Use variables like the product name and link so each post fills in automatically. You can add several versions, and Nuelink will rotate between them.
   • Turn on AI captions. Write a short prompt, and NueAI will write a unique caption for each product. Add a fallback caption in case the AI caption can't be created.

5. (Optional) Add a post title. By default, it uses the product name. Some platforms use it as the video title.

6. (Optional) Turn on auto-threading. Long captions will be split into a thread on platforms with character limits, like X (Twitter).

7. Choose your post format: Link, Image, or Carousel (multiple product photos in one post).

8. Choose whether to import your existing products and set how many to import (from 1 to 100). Or turn this off to share only new products.

9. (Optional) Turn on Draft mode if you want to review each post before it goes live.

10. (Optional) Turn on Publish Immediately to share new products as soon as they're added to your store. Existing products will go to your queue instead.

11. (Optional) Turn on a first comment and choose a delay. Note: Instagram and YouTube don't allow images in comments.

12. (Optional) Turn on smart conditions to only share products that include (or don't include) certain keywords.

13. Choose where your products will be saved. See Collection Setup below for your two options.

14. Click Add WooCommerce Automation.

Manage Your Collection After Setup

Your products will use that collection's channels and posting times. No extra setup is needed. You can still change its settings anytime in the next section. Your products are now in a collection. Next, tell Nuelink where and when to post them.

1. Open the collection. If you like, rename it and pick a color so it's easy to find.

2. Under Default Social Channels, select the channels you want to post to. For Pinterest, pick a board for each channel. For YouTube, pick a playlist.

3. Under Weekly Schedule, select the days and times you want to post, then click Add slots. To change your time zone, click Change.

4. (Optional) Turn on Recycle published posts (evergreen) to share your products again later. Set how long to wait before reposting and how many times a post can repeat.

5. Choose where new posts go in the queue: top, bottom, or a random spot.

6. (Optional) Open Advanced Options to pause posting or set dates when the collection is active.

7. Click Save Changes.

You're all set! Your products will now be shared on your social channels automatically.

FAQs

Should I write my own caption or use AI captions? 

A caption template gives every product the same format, which keeps things consistent. AI captions give each product a unique caption, but they use NueAI credits. If you use AI captions, you can also set a fallback caption just in case.

How often does Nuelink check my store for new products? 

With Publish Immediately turned on, Nuelink checks every hour. With it turned off, Nuelink checks on a regular schedule, such as every 24 hours.

Can I review posts before they're published? 

Yes! Turn on Draft mode. Your product posts will wait in the collection's Drafts tab until you approve them.

Can I connect more than one WooCommerce store? 

Yes. Just repeat the steps above for each store you'd like to add.

Will my old products be shared, or only new ones? 

Both. Nuelink imports your existing products when you create the automation. It also adds any new products you publish later.

Troubleshooting

My products aren't showing up in the collection. 

Wait for the Processing banner to disappear, then refresh the page. If products are still missing, check that your store link is correct and that your store is public (not in maintenance mode or password-protected).

Only some of my products were imported. 

Your WordPress feed limit is probably too low. Follow the steps to raise it, save, then set up the automation again. Also check the Number of Posts to Import setting in your automation.

Nuelink can't reach my store. 

A security or firewall plugin on your site may be blocking Nuelink. Open Advanced Options in the automation and turn on Use a custom user agent. Or, add Nuelink to the allow list in your security plugin.

My product posts are stuck and not publishing. 

Open the collection and make sure Default Social Channels are selected. Then check that the Weekly Schedule has time slots added. Click Save after making changes.
