What's an Automation and How Does it Work?
Nuelink Automations helps you save time by automatically turning your content into social media posts. Instead of manually creating, scheduling, and publishing every post, you can connect your favorite platforms once and let Nuelink handle the rest.
Whenever new content is published, such as a blog post, product, podcast episode, YouTube video, customer review, or social media post, Nuelink can automatically import it, create a social media post, and either publish it immediately or add it to a Collection to be published later according to your schedule.
Note: Before creating an automation, connect the required accounts from Social Channels or authorize the platform during the automation setup.
Important: Each automation checks for new content automatically on its own schedule. Most automations only import new content published after the automation is enabled.
How Automations Work
Although every automation connects to a different platform, they all follow the same workflow.
First, choose the automation you want to use and connect the required account or platform. Then select where you want your content to be published, customize the caption if needed, and choose whether posts should be published immediately or added to a Collection.
Once the automation is enabled, Nuelink checks the connected platform automatically. When it finds new content, it creates a social media post using your settings. Depending on the automation, it can include the original title, caption, images, videos, links, or other content from the source.
For example, imagine you publish a new product in your Shopify store. Nuelink detects the product, creates a social media post using your caption template, adds it to your selected Collection, and publishes it according to your posting schedule. If you've enabled follow-up comments, they'll be published automatically after the main post.
The same workflow applies to blog posts, newsletters, podcast episodes, YouTube videos, Google reviews, Pinterest Pins, Instagram posts, and many other supported platforms.

What Are Automations?
An automation is a connection between Nuelink and another platform. After you set it up once, Nuelink automatically watches for new content and creates social media posts for you.
Instead of copying links, downloading images, writing captions, and publishing posts manually, the automation handles those repetitive tasks in the background. This helps you stay active on social media while spending less time managing your content.
For example, if you publish a new article on your blog, Nuelink can automatically import it, apply your caption template, add hashtags, send it to a Collection, and publish it according to your schedule.

Unlike the other automation categories, these integrations don't monitor a specific platform. Instead, they receive content from external workflows that you build using automation tools.

Once the external automation sends content to Nuelink, it follows the same publishing process as every other automation. You can publish posts immediately or add them to a Collection to follow your posting schedule.

Do I need to connect my account before creating an automation?
Yes. Most automations require you to connect the platform or social media account before they can monitor and import your content.
Do I have to create posts manually after setting up an automation?
No. Once an automation is enabled, Nuelink automatically creates posts whenever it detects new content that matches your settings.
Can I customize the posts created by an automation?
Yes. Most automations let you customize captions, use placeholders, choose destination social media channels, add follow-up comments, and decide whether to publish immediately or send posts to a Collection.
What's the difference between publishing immediately and using a Collection?
Publishing immediately shares your content as soon as it's imported. Using a Collection adds each post to a scheduled queue so it's published according to your posting schedule.
Can I pause an automation?
Yes. You can pause any automation at any time. While it's paused, Nuelink won't import new content.
What happens when I resume an automation?
When you resume an automation, you can choose whether to import content that was published while the automation was paused or skip it and only import newer content.
Can I edit an automation later?
Yes. You can update your automation at any time, including the connected account, destination channels, caption template, Collection, posting options, and other settings.
Why wasn't my content imported?
Check a few things. Make sure the automation is enabled, the connected account is still authorized, and your content matches the automation settings. Also remember that each automation checks for new content on its own schedule, so there may be a short delay before new content appears.
Do automations work in the background?
Yes. Once an automation is enabled, Nuelink continues checking for new content and importing posts automatically. You don't need to keep Nuelink open for your automations to run.
