Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to Automations in the left sidebar and click Add Automation in the top right corner.

  1. Find Captivate in the list and click its Add Automation button. The setup window opens.

  1. Paste your Captivate Podcasts Link into the field (for example, https://channelname.captivate.fm/).

  1. Write your Post Caption. This is the text shared with each episode. You can add more than one variation, use the variables {{title}}, {{link}}, {{website}}, and {{author}}, or turn on AI captions to have Nuelink write them for you.

  1. Set the Post title. This is optional and is used on YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook videos.

  1. (Optional) Turn on Auto thread long captions to break long captions into a thread on platforms that support it.

  1. Under Choose post format, pick Link Post or Image Post.

  1. Turn on Import existing podcasts as well as future ones to share episodes you already have. Then set the Number of Posts to Import (any number from 1 to 100).

  1. (Optional) Turn on Mark the posts as draft for later review to check each episode post before it goes live.

  1. (Optional) Turn on Publish Immediately to post your newest episode right away and queue the rest. Existing episodes are always queued, not published immediately.

  1. (Optional) Turn on Send a follow-up comment to add a comment after each episode posts. Write your comment (you can use {{title}}, {{link}}, {{website}}, {{author}}, or NueAI), then set the Condition, such as After delay and the number of minutes to wait.

  1. (Optional) Turn on Use smart conditions to only share certain episodes. Set the Keyword Condition to Include or Exclude, then add the keywords to match in episode titles.

  1. Leave Create a new collection for this automation on to make a fresh collection, or turn it off to choose a collection you already have.

  1. (Optional) Open Advanced Options for extra controls: Auto-clean links removes tracking parameters from your links, and Use a custom user agent helps when a source blocks default crawlers.

  1. Click Add Captivate Automation to finish.

You're all set! Your podcast episodes will now be added to your collection and posted automatically.

How to Set Up Your Collection

Every automation posts through a collection, a folder that holds your automated posts and applies the same channels, schedule, and recycling rules to all of them. If you let the automation create a collection, or you want to build one yourself, open the collection and go to its Settings tab to set it up:

  1. Collection Name: Give your collection a clear name, such as "Podcast posts", and pick a color code so it's easy to spot in your list.

  1. Default Social Channels: Select the channels you want to post to from this collection. Posts added here go to these channels by default. If you added Pinterest, choose a Pinterest Board (one board per channel). If you added YouTube, choose your YouTube Playlists.

  1. Weekly Schedule: Set the days and times your posts go out. Choose your days under Select Days, set a time under Pick Time, then click Add slots. Posts fill the next open slot. Check that the time zone at the bottom is right, and click Change to adjust it if needed.

  1. Recycle (Evergreen): Turn on Recycle published posts (evergreen) to repost your content automatically after a break. Set the Cooldown (how long to wait before a post goes back in the queue) and the Repeat limit (how many times each post can recycle).

  1. Queue Behavior: Choose where new posts land: Top of the queue (post sooner), Bottom of the queue (post later), or Random (shuffle into the schedule).

  1. Advanced Options (optional): Turn on Pause posting from this collection to stop publishing without deleting posts, or Timeframe limit to set start and end dates for when the collection is active.

  1. Click Save Changes at the top.

Your collection is ready, and every episode post will follow these settings. You can come back and change them anytime.

Tip: The Danger Zone at the bottom of Settings lets you permanently delete the collection and all its posts. This can't be undone, so use it with care.

FAQs

How often does Nuelink check for new episodes?

Nuelink checks your Captivate feed regularly for new episodes. With Publish Immediately turned on, it checks hourly, posts your newest episode right away, and queues the rest.

Will my older episodes be shared too?

By default, yes. Turn on Import existing podcasts as well as future ones and set how many to bring in. If you only want future episodes, leave that toggle off.

Can I have Nuelink write my captions?

Yes. Turn on AI captions in the Post Caption area, and Nuelink will generate captions for your episodes. You can also write your own and add variations.

Can I share only certain episodes?

Yes. Turn on Use smart conditions, set the Keyword Condition to Include or Exclude, and add keywords. Only episodes whose titles match will be shared.

Can I review episodes before they go live?

Yes. Turn on Mark the posts as draft for later review, and each episode post is saved as a draft first, ready for you to review and edit.

Troubleshooting

Issue: New episodes aren't showing up in Nuelink.

Give it a little time, since Nuelink checks the feed on a schedule. If episodes still aren't appearing, open the automation and double-check that your Captivate Podcasts Link is correct.

Issue: I pasted my link, but the automation won't save.

Make sure you're using your full Captivate Podcasts link, like https://channelname.captivate.fm/. A partial or mistyped link can stop the automation from connecting. Copy it straight from Captivate and paste it again.

Issue: Episodes are posting but going to the wrong channels.

Open the collection linked to this automation and go to its Settings tab. Check that the right Default Social Channels and Weekly Schedule slots are set.

Issue: I only want future episodes, not my back catalog.

In the setup window, turn off Import existing podcasts as well as future ones. Nuelink will then sync only new episodes going forward.
