Automation FAQ
I get my Zapier token, what is next?
Once you generate the Token for this automation on Nuelink, log in to your account on Zapier. Then create a new Zap where, for example, Spreadsheet (you can select any other app) is the trigger app and Nuelink is the action app. You can set up your spreadsheet (or any other app) Zap as usual, as for Nuelink, add the token and select your post formatting. The posts will be added to the Collection you selected when generating the Zapier token.
Why my posts didn't upload after setting up a cross-posting automation?
The cross-posting automation only applies to future uploaded content. Existing posts are not included in this specific automation.
Why not all of my WordPress posts imported to Nuelink?
You will need to change the number of your Syndication Feeds. To fix this, log in to your WordPress and go to Settings. Then, click on Reading. Once you do that, change the Syndication Feeds to the number of posts you want us to access. Ex: 100 posts. After following these steps, you will need to re-set up your WordPress automation on Nuelink.
When I add a new blog post on my website, does this new blog post go to the front of my queue in my WordPress collection?
When you add a new blog post to your website, the post is scheduled in the queue for the next available time slot.
How can I add images in an automation, when available, to my social media post?
When setting up your automation, make sure to enable Import Post as an Image to automatically import images along with your automated posts.
Can I delete links from existing UTM codes?
You now have the option to clean up links from existing UTM codes in advanced options.
Why didn't my automation add a post to the queue?
Walk through this quick checklist. Confirm the source is still active and connected. Confirm the item matches the rules you set (tags, categories, filters). Confirm the target channels are still part of the collection. Confirm your queue has room, since a full queue won't accept new items. Finally, check whether the automation is set to save items as drafts, which holds them back from the queue. The automation's activity log will show the exact reason an item was skipped.
Why are old Shopify or Etsy products still being shared?
Product-source automations take a snapshot of each product when the post is created. If the product later changes status (for example, goes out of stock or moves to draft), the post already sitting in your queue still uses the original snapshot. To clean this up, open the collection, find the post for that product, and either remove it or edit the caption and media. After any big product update in Shopify or Etsy, it's worth scanning the queue for posts tied to removed items.
Do automations support approvals?
A dedicated approval workflow is on the roadmap, but it's not live yet. As a workaround, set the automation to save items as drafts instead of sending them to the queue. You (or a teammate) can then review each draft and move it to the queue manually. This gives you a review step without a full approval flow.
How many automations can I run at once?
The number of active automations depends on your plan. Higher-tier plans allow more active sources. You can always pause an automation to free up a slot without losing its setup, then turn it back on later.
Can I use one automation for multiple collections?
Each automation feeds one collection. If you want the same source to post to different themes, create a second automation on the same source, point it at a different collection, and use different rules to split the content.
My automation says "Active," but no items show up.
Open the automation and check the activity log. The log tells you whether the source returned items, whether items matched your rules, and whether the queue had room. Adjust the rules or clear queue space based on what you see.
The same item keeps getting added over and over.
Check whether Evergreen Recycling is turned on for the collection. Recycled items get requeued on purpose. Turn recycling off for that collection if you don't want it.
My RSS automation stopped pulling in new items.
Paste the RSS URL into a browser to confirm the feed still loads. If the feed moved or returned an error, update the URL in the automation settings. For password-protected feeds, reconnect the source.
My Shopify automation is missing new products.
Check the automation's rules. If you filter by a specific collection or tag, only products with that collection or tag get pulled. Loosen the filter or add the right tag on the product in Shopify.
