How to Repost Posts After a While on Nuelink.

Nuelink's Repost automation gives your old posts a second life by automatically sharing them again after a set amount of time. You choose how long to wait, and you can add a fresh caption if you like. This guide walks you through setting it up from start to finish.

Note: To follow this guide, you'll need a Nuelink account, at least one supported channel connected (Facebook, LinkedIn, 𝕏, Threads, Mastodon, or Bluesky), and a collection with content ready to publish.

What Is the Repost Feature and How Does It Work?

The Repost feature automatically shares your previously published posts again after a time period you set. It works together with a collection, so you can keep specific posts in rotation. This helps your content reach more people without creating anything new.

Supported Channels and Platforms

Repost works on platforms that allow you to reshare content on your own profile or feed. These are: Facebook, LinkedIn, 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), Threads, Mastodon, and Bluesky.

Why Use the Repost Feature?

Reposting is a simple way to help more people see your content, especially anyone who missed it the first time. It also keeps your social media active with far less effort on your part.

Step-by-Step: Set Up Repost Automation

  1. Log in to your Nuelink account and click Automations in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Add automation in the top-right corner.

  3. Search for Repost, or scroll down to find the Auto Repost Content from a Collection automation, then click + Add Automation. This opens the setup window where you'll complete the next few steps.

  4. In the Select Collection dropdown, choose the collection you want to repost from. New to collections? Learn how to create one here.

  5. Under Select Platforms, click the platforms you want to repost on. Nuelink reposts each post once, on the same platform it was originally shared on.

  6. Open the Repost After dropdown and choose your delay: 3h, 6h, 9h, 12h, 24h, or 48h after the original post goes out. Reposts happen once per platform, per post.

  7. To add a message above the repost, turn on Add a Quote? and type your caption. You can add emojis or hashtags, or let NueAI help write it. To pull in your original caption automatically, add the {{original_post}} variable.

  8. Turn on Auto-Unpost if you want the repost removed automatically 48 hours after it goes out. This keeps your profile tidy.

Note: Auto-Unpost only removes the repost 🔁, not your original post. The 48 hours are counted from when the repost is shared, not from the original posting time.

  9. Click Activate Auto Repost to turn on the automation.

  10. Your automation is now active and appears in your list of automations. Go back to your selected collection and publish a post (or create a new post and add it to the same collection) to see the repost in action. After the delay you set, your content is reshared. You'll find it in the Published section of your queue.

You're all set; your best posts will now keep working for you on autopilot!

How the Repost Appears on Each Platform

Facebook: Your post is reshared on your page as a brand-new post, with or without an added caption.

LinkedIn: Your post is reshared on your page as a brand-new post, with or without an added caption.

𝕏 (formerly Twitter): Your original post is shared again as a quote-tweet. You can add a new caption or leave it as a plain repost.

Threads: Your original post is shared again as a quote-post. You can add a new caption or leave it as a plain repost.

Mastodon: Your original post is shared again as a quote-post. You can add a new caption or leave it as a plain repost.

Bluesky: Your original post is shared again as a quote-post. You can add a new caption or leave it as a plain repost.

FAQs

Why wasn't my post reposted on Instagram?

Reposts aren't supported on Instagram. This is due to limitations in Meta's API, not a setting on your end.

Do I need a collection to use Repost?

Yes. The Repost automation pulls from a collection, so you'll need one set up with content before you activate it. Here's how to create a collection.

Does the repost count the delay from the original post or from the repost?

The repost delay (3h to 48h) is counted from when your original post is published. The Auto Unpost 48-hour timer, however, starts from when the repost goes out.

Do I have to add a new caption?

No. Add a Quote? is optional. If you leave it off, your content is simply reshared as-is.

How do I include my original caption in the new post?

In the quote box, add the {{original_post}} variable. Nuelink replaces it with your original caption when the repost goes out — for example, "Missed this? {{original_post}}".

Can I repost to more than one platform at once?

Yes. In step 5, just toggle on every supported platform you'd like your content reshared to.

Troubleshooting

My automation is active, but nothing has been reposted yet.

Reposts only happen after the delay you chose (3h to 48h) and only for posts published to the selected collection after the automation was turned on. Publish a post to that collection and wait for the delay to pass.

A platform I want isn't available to toggle on.

Repost only works on Facebook, LinkedIn, 𝕏, Threads, Mastodon, and Bluesky. If your channel isn't one of these (for example, Instagram), it won't appear as an option.

My repost is still showing on my profile after 48 hours.

The repost is only removed automatically if you turned on Auto Unpost during setup. Open the automation and enable Auto Unpost so future reposts are cleaned up on their own.
