Reauthorizing the connection for Facebook or Instagram on Nuelink
Important Notice: Starting April 22, 2024, the Facebook Groups API will be deactivated due to Meta's updates. This means that third-party apps like Nuelink will no longer be able to support posting in Facebook Groups.
If you are facing one of these problems, this is the article for you…
- You are not seeing your Facebook or Instagram channel when trying to connect it on Nuelink.
- You see an “unknown” or permission error.
- Your Facebook or Instagram channel got disconnected out of the blue.
Sometimes a simple refresh is often the solutions to solve this issue.
Other times, you will need to follow the steps that we will be addressing below that will allow you to see and connect your Facebook and Instagram channels.
- Check Your Admin Status
- Check your Facebook Connection Permissions
- Remove Nuelink from Facebook and Re-add the Connection
1.Check Your Admin Status
Your first move after not being able to connect or seeing your Facebook Business page is to make sure that you are in fact an admin on the Facebook Page that you are trying to connect.
For Instagram, make sure that your Instagram is a Business Page and that the account is connected to a Facebook Business page. If you need help switching to a Business page or/and linking your Instagram account to your Facebook account, check out this video.
The easiest way to check your admin status is by following these directions given by Facebook. Once you made sure that you are an admin and the connection is still not established, you will need to move to the next stage of this process.
2.Check your Facebook Connection Permissions
Usually, the reason why we are unable to connect to a newly added Facebook or Instagram Business page is that we don’t have permission to do so. To solve this issue, you will need to update the permissions following these steps.
- Log into your Facebook Business page that you manage.
- Go to Settings & Privacy and then click on Settings.
- Scroll down and then click on Business Integrations.
- Locate the Nuelink app and click View and Edit.
- Here, we want to ensure all Facebook pages are checked in all sections. Click on See all Pages for each section and select all pages available.
- Once you do that, click on Save.
Note: If you don’t see any additional pages, you’ve already granted Nuelink all the necessary permission. In such cases, your next move is to delete the Nuelink app.
Once these pages are selected, you are basically done. You might just need to refresh your Facebook and Instagram pages again for good measure.
If these two approaches fail and you are still experiencing errors, you will need to follow these steps.
3.Remove Nuelink from Facebook and Re-add the Connection
The last and final approach is to delete Nuelink on Facebook and re-adding it to re-establish authorization. To do that, please follow these steps.
Note: This step won’t affect posts already in Queue as this is only meant to re-establish the connection between Facebook or Instagram and Nuelink.
- Log into your Facebook Business page that you manage.
- Go to Settings & Privacy and then click on Settings.
- Scroll down and then click on Business Integrations.
- Locate the Nuelink app and tick the check box and then click Remove.
- A window will pop up asking for confirmation. Don’t check the two boxes and just click on Remove.
- Once you are done with these steps, head to Nuelink and connect your Facebook or Instagram pages as before.
Note: Please make sure to accept all permissions and all pages during the authorization process and avoid making any changes to Choose what you allow.
