How to Set Up Google Business Reviews on Nuelink

This guide shows you how to automatically turn your Google Business reviews into social media posts using Nuelink. Once it's set up, your best customer reviews are shared to your channels for you, a simple way to build trust and show off happy customers.

Note: To follow this guide, you'll need a Nuelink account with your Google Business Profile connected as a channel.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Automations in the left sidebar. Click Create Automation in the corner.

2. Find Google Reviews in the list and click Add Automation next to it.

3. Under Social Channels, select the Google Business channel you want to import reviews from.

4. Write your Post Caption. This is the text shared with each review. You can use the toolbar to add emojis and hashtags, and insert variables that fill in automatically: {{review}}, {{reviewer}}, {{date}}, {{link}}, {{stars}}, and {{rating}}.

5. (Optional) Add a Post title. This is used on YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook videos.

6. Choose your post format. Pick Image Post to share each review as an image (you can select an image template), or pick Link Post to share it as a link.

7. Turn on Import existing reviews as well as future ones if you want to share reviews you've already received. If you only want new reviews going forward, leave it off. When it's on, set the Number of Posts to import (any number from 1 to 100).

8. (Optional) Turn on Mark the posts as draft for later review if you'd like to check each post before it goes out.

9. (Optional) Turn on Send follow-up comment to add a comment under each review post, for example, inviting people to leave their own review. Type your comment, then use the Condition setting to choose how long to wait after publishing before the comment is added.

10. Set your review filters under Filter which reviews to import. Choose a Minimum rating (for example, 4 stars & up) so only strong reviews are shared. You can also turn on Only import reviews with written text to skip star-only ratings that have no comment.

11. Set your Check frequency: how often Nuelink looks for new reviews (for example, Every 24 Hours).

1. Leave Create a new collection for this automation on to keep these posts in their own collection, or turn it off to add them to an existing collection.

12. Click Add Google Reviews Automation to finish.

You're all set! Your reviews will now flow into your collection, ready to be shared to your social channels.

Set Up Your Collection

When your automation creates a new collection, open it and go to the Settings tab to control how and when your review posts go out. Every post added to this collection uses these settings by default.

1. Set the Collection Name and pick a Color code so it's easy to spot in your collections list.

2. Under Default Social Channels, choose the channels where these posts should go. If you use YouTube, you can also pick a YouTube Playlist to add videos to.

3. Build your Weekly Schedule. Pick the days, choose a time under Pick Time, and click Add slots. Your posts fill these time slots automatically. You can add as many slots as you like across the week.

5. (Optional) Turn on Recycle (Evergreen) to automatically re-share your reviews after a cooldown. Set the Cooldown (how long to wait before a post goes back in the queue) and a Repeat limit (how many times each post can be reshared, or Forever).

6. Choose your Queue Behavior, where new posts land in the queue. Pick Top of queue to post sooner, Bottom of queue to post later, or Random to shuffle posts into your schedule.

7. (Optional) Open Advanced Options for two extra controls. Pausing posting from this collection stops publishing without deleting your posts. Timeframe limit lets you set a start and end date for when the collection is active.

8. Click Save Changes at the top to apply your settings.

FAQs

Which reviews will Nuelink share? 

Only reviews that match your filters. If you set a minimum rating of 4 stars and turn on written-text-only, Nuelink shares 4- and 5-star reviews that include a written comment.

How many past reviews can I import at once? 

You can import any number from 1 to 100 by setting the Number of Posts to import when Import existing reviews is turned on.

Can I check reviews before they're posted? 

Yes. Turn on Mark the posts as draft for later review, and each post will wait in your collection as a draft until you approve it.

Can I share reviews as images instead of links? 

Yes. Choose Image Post under post format and pick a template. Nuelink turns each review into an image. Choose Link Post if you'd prefer to share a link instead.

How often does Nuelink look for new reviews? 

As often as you choose in the Check frequency setting; options include every 1, 6, 12, or 24 hours.

Troubleshooting

My reviews aren't being posted. 

Check your filters. If your Minimum rating is set high or Only import reviews with written text is on, reviews that don't meet those rules are skipped. Lower the rating or turn off the text-only filter to include more reviews.

My Google Business account isn't in the Social Channels list. 

The Google Business Profile must be connected to Nuelink first. Go to Channels, connect it, then return to the automation and select it.

The posts went out without me reviewing them. 

Turn on Mark the posts as draft for later review so future posts wait as drafts until you approve them.

My caption shows {{reviewer}} instead of the customer's name. 

Make sure you're using the variable buttons or typing the variables exactly as shown, including the double curly braces. Nuelink replaces them with the real review details when the post is created.
