What are Facebook Collaborations?

Facebook collaborations (collabs) are a feature allowing two creators or Pages to co-author a single Reel or video post, displaying it on both profiles simultaneously. This tool shares, amplifies reach to both audiences, and combines insights. Both creators are credited, facilitating easier branded content, cross-promotion, and audience growth.

How to Invite a Collaborator to your Facebook Video?

  1. Log in to your Nuelink account, and click on “Create Post.”

  1. First, you need to select your post type as “Short-form Video.”

Note: Make sure it’s a short-form video because Facebook Collabs are only available for Facebook videos.

  1. Select your Collection and your Facebook page.

Note: This feature is only available for Facebook pages, and not personal profiles or groups.

  1. Upload your video by clicking on Upload Video or Media Library.

  1. Add your post caption, edit your cover, and enhance with NueAI and caption settings.

  1. Toggle on “Facebook Collaboration” and search for your collaborator by the name of their page, “Nuelink,” or you can just type the username “@nuelinkapp.”

  1. Select the account you would like to collaborate with.

Note: You can only add 1 collaborator to your videos on Facebook.

  1. Once done, schedule your post, add it to the queue, or post it immediately.

How to Accept a Collaboration on a Facebook Video Post?

  1. Click on the notification “Facebook Page tagged you in a post.”

Note: Make sure they are connected to the correct Facebook account and page.

  1. You will find a message to accept or decline, or it will be automatically accepted.

Note: Sometimes this may fail due to some Facebook bugs.

Facebook Collabs FAQs and Troubleshooting.

Can I add a collaborator to any Facebook post?

Collaborations are only available for Facebook videos and Instagram Reels. But you can tag and mention others on all types of posts, check here.

Can I use Facebook Collaboration on a personal profile?

No, this feature is only available for Facebook Pages. It does not work with personal profiles or Facebook Groups.

How many collaborators can I add to a Facebook video?

You can only add one collaborator to a Facebook video or Reel.

Do I need to connect my Facebook Page to Nuelink first?

Yes, your Facebook Page must be connected to Nuelink before you can use the Facebook Collaboration feature.

Can I collaborate with a personal Facebook account?

No, Facebook currently only supports collaborations between Pages, not personal profiles.

How do I find the collaborator’s Page in Nuelink?

After enabling Facebook Collaboration, you can search for the Page by their Page name (for example: Nuelink), or the Page username (for example: @nuelinkapp)

Why can’t I find the Page I want to collaborate with?

This can happen if: the Page name or username is entered incorrectly, the Page is not eligible for collaborations, or Facebook is temporarily not returning the Page properly.

Try searching again using the exact Page name or @username.

What happens after I invite a collaborator?

Once the video is published, the invited Page should receive a Facebook notification asking them to accept or decline the collaboration. This may fail sometimes because of a Facebook bug.

Does the collaborator have to accept the invitation?

Yes, in most cases, the collaborator must accept the collaboration request for the post to appear as a shared/collab post.

What if the collaborator doesn’t receive the invitation?

Ask them to check:

  • their Facebook notifications
  • the correct Facebook account/Page
  • whether they are logged into the right Page

Sometimes, Facebook may delay or fail to send the collaboration request.

Can I tag a Page instead of adding them as a collaborator?

Yes. If you only want to mention or tag another Page in the caption, you can do that without using Facebook Collaboration. This is different from co-authoring a post.

Why is the Facebook Collaboration toggle missing?

This usually happens if: Your selected post type is not Short-form Video, or the selected channel is not a Facebook Page, or the connected account is not a Page. Make sure you selected the correct post type and Facebook Page.

Why was the collaboration accepted automatically?

In some cases, Facebook may automatically accept the collaboration depending on the collaborator’s Page settings or Facebook’s behavior.
