How to Add Social Posts to a Collection

This guide shows you three ways to add social media content to a Nuelink collection: manually, in bulk via spreadsheet, and automatically through automations. Once your posts are in a collection, Nuelink handles the scheduling for you.

Note: Make sure you're logged into your Nuelink account and have already created at least one collection before getting started.

What is a Collection?

A collection is like a dedicated folder for a specific type of social media content. You can organize posts by theme, campaign, or topic, and each collection comes with its own set of social channels and weekly posting times.

Every time you add a post to a collection, it automatically joins the queue and gets published at the times and to the channels you've already set up. No need to set a time or pick channels for each post individually.

Why Use Collections?

Collections save you time. Instead of managing each post one by one, you set your channels and schedule once, and every new post you add follows those same rules automatically.

They're especially useful for entrepreneurs, content creators, and social media managers who publish regularly and need to stay consistent without manual work every day.

Nuelink gives you three ways to fill your collections with content:

  1. Manual posts, create them one by one
  2. Bulk imports, upload many posts at once using a spreadsheet
  3. Automated posts, pulled automatically from blogs, online stores, podcasts, and more

How to Add Posts Manually

In this example, we'll create a carousel post, but the same steps apply to any post type in Nuelink (text, image, video, short-form video, stories, polls, and more).

  1. Click Create Post at the top of the left menu, or at the top of your collection.

  1. Select Post from the top bar.

  1. Select your Collection from the dropdown. If you opened the post editor from inside a collection, it will already be selected.

  1. Check your Social Channels. They'll be added automatically based on your collection's settings. You can add or remove channels as needed.

  1. Add your media. Click Upload Image(s), Upload Video, or Media Library to add your visuals.

⚠️ Important: Each social media platform has specific requirements for images and videos. Make sure your media meets those requirements to avoid publishing issues.

  1. Write your caption and add a title if needed. Use the built-in tools, like the NueAI Assistant and the Emoji Picker, to polish your copy. Learn more about advanced editing options →

  1. Scroll down to explore advanced post settings like first comments, link shortening, and more. Learn about all post options →

  1. Choose a schedule option:
    • Add to Queue, joins your collection's posting schedule
    • Post Now, publishes immediately
    • Post Next jumps to the front of the queue
    • Schedule Once picks a specific date and time, skipping the queue
    • Save as Draft saves without scheduling

Learn how the Nuelink Queue works →

  1. Your post is ready! You'll find it inside your collection under the Queue or Drafts tab. Click Settings to adjust collection-level settings, or use the options below each post to edit individual posts.

You're all set! Your post will go out at the next available time slot in your collection.

How to Add Posts in Bulk

Bulk importing lets you upload many posts at once using a CSV spreadsheet file, perfect for batching content in advance.

  1. Click Create Post at the top of the left menu or at the top right of your collection, then select Bulk Upload (CSV).

  1. Select the Collection you want to import posts into. If you're already inside a collection, it will be selected by default.

  1. Upload your spreadsheet file. Make sure it follows one of Nuelink's example templates. Download a template →

  1. Configure your import options:

    • Treat videos as short-form vertical videos, convert all videos in your CSV to Reels, TikToks, or Shorts format

    • Also, add to Instagram feed, automatically adds your Reels to your Instagram feed as well

    • Add images to the Photos section of Google Business Profile, and choose whether to include an update or just add the photo

    • Add hashtags, text, or a link below the caption, and append extra content to all captions at once

    • Mark posts as drafts for later review, and imports everything as drafts instead of scheduling them

  1. Click Import to start uploading your posts.

  1. Your posts are ready! They'll appear inside your collection and will follow your collection's schedule automatically. Click Settings to adjust collection-level settings, or use the options below each post to edit individual ones.

That's it, all your posts are now scheduled and ready to go!

How to Add Posts Using Automations

Automations let Nuelink pull content from external sources, like your online store, blog, or podcast, and automatically turn it into scheduled social media posts.

Nuelink supports automations from: Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Substack, RSS feeds, Anchor, Spotify for Podcasters, YouTube, and more. Learn about all automations →

In this example, we'll use an Etsy store.

  1. Go to Automations in the left menu and click Add Automation in the top right corner.

  1. Choose the automation type that matches your content source (Blogs, E-commerce, Podcasts, Social, Crossposting). Click Add Automation below your chosen option.

  1. Set up your automation. Paste your store or feed URL, enable AI Captions if you'd like Nuelink to write captions automatically, and explore any advanced settings. Click Add Automation at the bottom when you're done.

  1. Create a dedicated collection. You'll be taken to a new collection setup screen. Give your collection a name, add your social media channels, and set your publishing times.

  1. Choose your queue settings and click Save to finish setting up your collection.

  1. Your automation is live! Nuelink will start pulling content from your source and converting it into social media posts. You'll find them in your collection under the Queue tab. Click Settings to adjust collection-level settings, or use the options below each post to edit individual ones.

You're all set, Nuelink will keep adding fresh content automatically from now on!

FAQs

What types of posts can I add to a collection?

Nuelink supports all major content formats, text, single images, carousels, short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), stories, polls, and more. Make sure your content meets the platform requirements for the social channels you're posting to.

How does the queue order work?

Each collection has a queue that can follow one of three orders: First In, First Out (oldest posts go first), Last In, First Out (newest posts go first), or Random (posts publish in a shuffled order). You can change this in your collection settings.

Can I create a one-off post without affecting my queue?

Yes. When creating a post, choose Schedule Once as your schedule option. The post will publish at the exact date and time you choose, completely bypassing the collection queue.

Can I move or copy a post to a different collection?

Yes. Click the options below any post and choose Move to transfer it to another collection, or Duplicate to copy it into a collection of your choice.

How does Evergreen recycling work with collections?

When Evergreen recycling is enabled, Nuelink automatically re-adds your published posts to the queue after a set period (the default is 4 weeks). This keeps your content circulating without any extra effort. You can adjust the recycling interval in your collection settings.

Troubleshooting

My post isn't appearing in the queue after I added it.

Check that you selected a collection during post creation and that your collection has at least one publishing time set. If the post was saved as a draft, go to the Drafts tab inside your collection.

My bulk import failed, or some posts didn't upload.

Open your CSV file and check that it follows Nuelink's template format exactly, including column headers. Make sure all required fields are filled in and that any media URLs are publicly accessible. Download the template again →

My automation isn't generating new posts.

Go to Automations, find your automation, and check that it's still active (not paused). Also, verify that your source URL (store, blog, or feed) is still live and accessible. If the issue continues, try removing and re-adding the automation.

I can't change the posting time for a post already in the queue.

Click Edit below the post, then go to Schedule. From there, you can pick an exact date and time for that specific post, overriding the collection schedule just for that one.
